Self-Care Sunday Routine

Pampering yourself on a Sunday is a great way to start off the week. Here is my favorite routine that leaves me feeling energized and in good spirits.

1.Take a Vanity Bath

Sometimes I do bath bombs or essential oils. Rose petals and rose milk bath soap is great too. I draw a hot, bubbly, bath and add my favorite scents and products in that leave me smelling amazing and feeling like silk. I replace my bathroom lighting with candles, turn on a relaxing playlist and soak. From the sweet aroma, the dimmed lights, and amazing music gently playing, my worries sail away.

2. Primp and Polish
I chop up some fruit, pour a glass of wine, and tidy myself up. I first wash and deep condition my hair. I then look at my nails to see if they need to be tended to. I trim them, clean under them and polish them. I then take out my foot-bath and put a little soap and peppermint oil in it. I soak my feet, scrub them, then polish my toenails. After I’m done, I rinse out the conditioner in my hair and style my hair. I shave throughout the week because I don’t like body hair but if there’s anything that needs to be shaved, I do it during this time too.

3. Me, Myself, and I Time
I put on a face mask, I light some sweet smelling candles, put on my record player and grab a book to read. If I don’t feel like reading, I write, do some online shopping, or research random cool facts. I give myself at least an hour to myself to unplug from social media. This is ME time. I don’t care what the Kardashians are up to…….today.

4. Prepare for The Next Day
Procrastinating is so stressful. Make your lunch for the next day and set your clothes out.  The more you get done, the better and longer you get to sleep.

5. Stretch Away The BS
There are so many benefits to stretching. Not only is it good for your body, but it also makes you feel good and relieves stress. It’s the icing on your self-care Sunday cake.

6.Netflix and Chill
Watch a movie and unwind. Take your mind off of everything and focus on the television. Laugh, cry, or be scared, whatever kind of flicks you are into. Pop some popcorn and enjoy. You can do this with company or not. Either way, you’re great company so you can’t lose.

Sundays are supposed to be relaxing. Implement these things into your weekly schedule and see how lighter you feel.
