Signs That You Are Changing For The Better

10. Your Body Rejects Negativity

Gossip no longer excites you, if anything it sickens you. You cannot stand walking into a room with tension. You feel it in the pit of your stomach. Your ears bleed when you hear a lot of complaining and you can only take negative people in small doses. You feel energized around peace. You seek positivity because it makes you feel good all over.

9. You Feel the Strong Urge to Experience New Things

You are breaking out of your comfort zone. You're in love with being inspired. You want to try new foods, go to places you’ve never been and learn a new hobby. You find new experiences invigorating. That thing you always wanted to do but you were too scared to, is now on your to-do list for today.

8. You are No Longer Interested in the Past

You stop practicing in your head the conversation you’re going to have with your ex when he sends you a “Hey Big Head” text. Haters are no longer your motivators. You don’t need to prove anyone wrong because you don’t need their validation. Loving yourself is enough for you. You’re no longer lurking on the social media pages of people who hurt you to see if they are suffering yet. Revenge is no longer gratifying for you, your mind is focused on other things. Watching yourself reach your full potential is what thrills you.

7. You Practice Self-Care Methods

When hardship comes you know how to ride the wave. The old you used to crumble. Instead of turning to a ton of alcohol, risky-behavior, or other toxic coping mechanisms, you feed your mind and spirit. You run yourself a nice bath and listen to an inspirational speech that pertains to what you’re going through. You pick up a self-development book. You sit down and research an answer to your problem so you can figure out the proper channels to fix it. Instead of isolating yourself, you talk to someone. You know that no one is an island and you use the support and resources around you instead of suffering in silence.

6. You Become a Better Friend

The better you are, the better you are for those around you. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Lucky for them, you find yourself more fulfilled nowadays. When you are feeling drained, you know what to do. As a result, your support, energy, and love are present for you to give your friends. They may even learn a thing or two from you.

5. You Have No Problem Cutting People Off

Anyone who is bad for your health and causes detours in your journey, you give them the pink slip. You know your worth. There is no good reason in the world for you to be dealing with consistent disrespect, mixed signals, empty apologies, and anything half-hearted. You hold yourself to a higher standard and that includes everything else in your life. You are a quality person who only surrounds themselves with quality people.

4. You Run Towards Your Passion

You are on the journey of being the best version of yourself. The best version of yourself does what they love. Since that’s where you’re headed, you donate energy to your passion frequently. You may write a poem every night before bed. You may try a new recipe every other night. You finally started being consistent with your vocal lessons. Instead of running away from what you love, you are running towards it.

3. You Are More Considerate of Others

It’s easy to get wrapped up in your own world and your own feelings. However, through growth and maturity, you learned how to not just hear people, but actually listen. Regardless of your personal sentiments, you do not allow what people say to fall on deaf ears. You understand your perspective isn’t the only important one. When you listen but still disagree, you disagree respectfully.

2. You Stop Speaking Negatively About Yourself

You stop putting yourself down and making yourself the butt of jokes. You also doubt yourself less. You affirm great things into your life. You don’t just thank God for Friday. You thank Him for Monday too because you know that you are an exceptional person who is on this distinctive path to absolute greatness. You are capable of overcoming anything heading your way. You know that your biggest advantage is that no one is you.

1. You Believe in Accountability

You are not too proud to admit that you are wrong sometimes. You understand that as a human you aren’t born knowing everything. You are still evolving. So, if you hurt someone during your evolution, you aren’t too proud to apologize. No one is too young or old for an apology. You take accountability for your actions and make sure that you are living up to that apology by not repeating your mistake.

There are plenty of indications that you are growing as a person but that’s just a few. What are some things that you noticed about yourself that showed you improved as a person? Let me know in the comments.
